It is not a simple matter of renaming the extension. Just to be educational:
mp3 and wav uses different methods of encoding data (just because you can
change the extension from wav to mp3 doesn't mean that you can change the
behavior of the file). Second, the quality is different: wav is a pure
sound, as opposed to mp3, which is a lossy format. Just educational.

Hello; Listers, For the person who asked about converting mp3 files to wav
actually you could just rename the extention from
mp3 to wav.  Instructions on how to do this.  1) From the main menu go to
file manager menu.  2) Go to rename file.  3) Choose the drive and folder.
4) Choose the file you want to convert.  
5) Press enter.  6) press 4-6 chord it will say blank put a period 4-6 and
then put the extention you want for example star.wav.  I hope this
information may help you and others.
