Hello,
This is not a braillenote bug.
It has to do with Windows ce, I have had this problem for some time now, and when I first noticed it, I mentioned it to Jonathan after I transplanted, and he had told me that it was because of windows ce and that sometimes it will free space after 30 or so e-mails, and sometimes it will only free space after so many hundred e-mails.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] zero bites freed

Hello Listers,
is this a problem or a bug? I'm asking because this has
happened to me since 7.0. I've freed the database space after
clearing as many as 100 messages from the trash folder and my
MPower reports "0 bytes freed). Later, I can clear as few as 20
and get a report of "439036 bytes (or more) freed". I always
free database space when I empty the trash, so having 0 bytes
after freeing a hundred or more, then having over four hundred
(or more) after freeing twenty or less does not sound logical to
me. Also, sometimes after no messages in the trash for a number
of hours, but having sent maybe 15 or 20 messages, I'll hit the
E-SF keys and get a few hundred thousand bytes freed. If this is
not a problem, or will not eventually hurt my BrailleNote,
there's no need to reply, but if this is a bug, or may cause my
device some injury, then PLEASE Humanware address it in the patch
you will give us for the 7.x series or in some future update.
Humanware staff -- if this is a problem and can be fixed, please
let me know, so I can (hopefully) expect a fix in the future. I
am using a 32 cell device with a braille keyboard.

Thank you,

Sammie Clay

I had 13 emails in my trash folder and when I did esf, it said
zero bites freed. Why? I'm a bit concerned. Eventually it will
free up my database space but how many emails have to be in my
trash folder in order for it to give me a number (ie) 124562)
bites freed?
