I understand your statement. The actual basic component of any instant
messenger nowadays include text messaging (as you know). Some offer VOIP,
but it won't work for some of us. That ws my point in my previous post. When
KeyChat is unleashed, it will arouse significant attention from BrailleNote
users.

Actually, it is not "more appropriate".  Most users are hearing so voice
should be an automatic since that is what the world is using right now.
But because we do care about our deaf-blind users we would absolutely
include a text option without having to think about it being an addition but
simply part of the original design.

The world at-large has been using voice only for quite some time now.
Going to a text only version would be a setback.
