Estin,
This cannot be done because it is written for Windows Ce 2.x n
mind. Windows
CE 4.2 has a differnet bnetwork drivers.

Estin, Anna:

We may have found an application which would allow one to change
network
profiles on a Windows CE device. I'll paste in an excerpt from
the
publisher's web site:

"HPC NetProfile is a Windows CE 2.0 utility program that allows
you to
create multiple TCP/IP network profiles for each installed
network adapter.
This product was designed for your Pocket PC, permitting easy
access to the
Internet or a LAN when you travel. With HPC NetProfile, it is no
longer
necessary to manually change your network settings every time you
change
location."

I'd like to test this as a solution to address the shelterbelt
filtering
issues that you and Anna described to me in our meeting. I do
not have an
understanding of how one installs and executes applications on
your Windows
CE device. Specifically, Estin, do you have the ability to run
general
applications? If not, would it be appropriate or possible to
have someone
run an application such as this when you move to a class which is
served by
a different wireless network? If HPC NetProfile can be used on
your device,
we would need to create a network profile for each virtual
network that you
use.
When moving to an area served by a different wireless base
station, one
would just select the profile associated with that particular
base station
to join the network.

Please let me know if you believe we should pursue this approach.

Thanks,

Allan Engle

Estin: Please read to the end of the e-mail so you'll know what
Allen needs
to know!

Allen:
I know of at least two, the one in 108 (our room) and the one in
the FACS
room. I'll have him respond about any others.
THANKS!

Anna,

This is probably a question for Estin, but do you know how many
different airport base stations he would use to access the
internet
right now? If you don't know, would you please copy Estin so
that he
 can respond?

Thanks,
Allan

Anna,

With all of the general network issues that we've faced this
week, I
haven't had time to do much with Estin's access issues. One
issue
that I'm having a hard time resolving involves the fact that
the
high school has three different vlans -- essentially three
different networks. It would be helpful if you could provide a
list
of classes/ instructors and room numbers so that I can determine
which vlans he will be using. I may be able to get this
information
from the office if you do not have it. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Allan

Anna,

I wish I could say that things have slowed down, but
unfortunately, they haven't. I'd propose that we set up a
time next week.
Tuesday
is bad for me. Wednesday afternoon is out. I can probably
meet for a short time on Monday, Thursday, or Friday.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Anna,

I'm happy to meet, but I'm still behind schedule on
PowerSchool. I should know more about my availability after
Aug 23. Would it be acceptable to correspond on the 24th to
set up a time to meet?

Thanks,
Allan

Greetings Allan and welcome to Buhler!

My name is Anna Roe and I am employed by Reno County
Education Cooperative as the teacher of the visually
impaired. One of my primary roles this year is as
Individualized Education Plan Case Manager for Estin
Talavera, who is a Sophomore at Buhler High. Estin is
totally blind and attends all regular education classes.
He uses a variety of technological devices to allow him to
access information in class and on the internet.

We spent a considerable amount of time with Mike Rose last
year getting internet access and other technological access
for Estin in the Buhler building. If possible, I would
like to meet with you, or someone from your department, so
that Estin can demonstrate his technology and so that we
can make sure things are set appropriately for this school
year.
There
were some
continual advances Mike was planning to help us with that
I'm hoping you can assist with.

Estin and I would be available for a meeting on Wednesdays
and some Fridays between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. or anyday
after school. Please let me know a time before the end of
August that we can get together and discuss the technology
needs for this specific situation.

I look forward to working with you!
