Hi Mary,
Thanks, I was just wodnering. I tried a couple of things from bookshare, and I decided to go back to the braille files.

I'm using text. The book is from Bookshare. I know they aren't
marked
in the greatest way, but I thought I could at least move by page.

Thanks.

Hi Mary,
Where do you get books in daisy audio? Are you using audio or
text?

Subject: [Braillenote] DAISY book reader question

Hallow Listers.

I'm wondering if anybody else is having the same trouble with
DAISY
files that I am having.

The files play well, and I can also navigate by words and other
small
increments very easily. However, when I try to either move by a
large
increment, such as a page, or when I try to use a previously set
bookmark, my BN freezes and I have to do a reset. This has been
a
problem for me because it means, in effect, that I have to read
the
entire book in one sitting. That's not my favorite way to read a
long
book. No matter how I crank up the speed, it would take me
longer to
read War and Peace than I can manage at once.

I have been reading the files on my compact flash drive. Do I
have to
transfer the files to the flash disk and build the bookshelf from
there
to make this work?

Or maybe I just haven't read the manual carefully enough? Could
be user
error.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
