Hi All, I am new to this list and joined a few days ago in anticipation of
receiving my new mPower 7.2. It is a transplant from version 6.11.
Before sending my unit in on 9/5/06, I backed up the flash disk in hopes of
restoring my files, address book, and planner. With my new unit that
arrived yesterday, there came a small piece of paper, and I quote from it.
"3 DO NOT RESTORE A BACKUP OF PRE-KEYSOFT 7 FILES. This will corrupt the
BrailleNote."
Does this apply to the Planner files and Address list files?If so, what
alternative is there to writing all that information in by hand again?I am
fairly certain that it does not mean data files created with my previous
version. Also, I remember that during previous restore sessions there were
some files that I did not recognize. If I receive alerts for such files,
what should be my response to the overwrite question?
Also, on a related topic, the hard copy braille for the welcome letter has
missing cells with blank spaces on pages 2 and 4. Perhaps this is not the
place to find a fix for this.
