Hi Robert,
Yes, I figure something is wrong with it now. But, I suspect this is
one of those random bugs as it worked fine before 7.2.
It will be interesting if the patch for 7.2 comes out and fixes
whatever is happening. Not likely, I know, but stranger things have happened.
Thanks,
Richard Turner

Hello,
There might be something wrong with your braillenote, for I just
went and did exactly what you said you have done.
I went to the media center, setup options, and where it said
playback memos, I chose the compactflash disk and typed the folder
name of test and it said create a new folder and I said yes.
I then recorded, and then went back and played it back.
Hth,

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Problem with 7.2 recording to compact
flash folder
Hi Matthew,
I was showing a client what he would have when he gets his
BrailleNote Classic transplanted to an mPower.
I went into the media setup menu, then, Store Memos on which
drive?
and selected compact flash, then Store Memos in which folder? and
gave a name that did not exist, like test. It created the
folder.
When I hit record, and we talked for about 45 seconds when I hit
the
record button again to stop recording.
Then, I tried to play back the memo and nothing was there. I
checked
with the file manager and the folder was empty.
I did a re-set and the folder was still empty.
The even stranger thing is that if I create a folder with the
folder
manager, then select it, it records just fine.
Also, today on the PK, it is all working fine. It didn't
yesterday.
But, the mPower Transplant will not record in a folder that was
created by the media setup.
I hope that helps.

Hi Richard,
We have not been able to reproduce the issue that you have
reported. I
have inserted a compact flash card, and have set the destination
of
recorded memos to a newly created folder on the compact flash
card. This
is working correctly on an mPower running KeySoft 7.2. Can you
provide any
more information that may help us to reproduce teh issue?

I have tested the recording feature under 7.2 on a PK and an
mPower
Transplant. Neither one will record to a folder on the compact
flash
drive.
They will record on the root of the compact flash drive. They
will
record in a folder on the flash drive, but they will not record
in a
folder on the compact flash drive.
This is new with 7.2.
