Hi Terry,

If you are using a braille keyboard, you may need to use computer braille for your find string as the display will likely convert the text to your preferred grade of braille. Assuming it is grade 2, the file is still in text. It would take a lot of time to convert the whole bible into braille.

computer braille is easy. The numbers are written in the lower part of the cell without a number sign. a colon is dots 1,5,6, and a hyphen is dots 3,6. With my QT keyboard, the braille display will appear as computer braille when the cursor is on the word of a TXT document. It likely works the same way when reading a TXT document with a BT model. This is another way to see exactly what you need to input. Once you see how it is done, you can depend on it being consistent throughout.

With the text that I use, each chapter is given as Genesis 1 or Genesis 2. I first have to search for the chapter and then search for the verse. It takes two successive find strings.

Hello list,

I know this has been discussed some previously. However, I still can't use the find feature to move ahead through a book file to a particular chapter and or verse. It seems no matter how I type the numbers I get cannot be found. I'm using strait text files. Do I need a different format? Thanks for any thoughts. Btw, I got my mpower transplant yesterday with 7.2 and so far no errors. "ptl"
