Oh, gee, it's been a bit since I've thought a lot about the differences
between the mPower and the classic. But, I'll give it a try.
The mPower would do things much faster--download email and open files and
the like. The mPower has USB ports, both for using ActiveSync with say
your
laptop, as well as for hooking up certain USB hard drives and thumb
drives.
The mPower has built in Bluetooth for ActiveSync or using your BN as a
speech synthesizer for your computer or for using your BN to control your
computer or for using your cell phone as a modem for retrieving email or
browsing the web. The mPower also supports streaming audio from the net.
And, oh, yes, it has a larger flash disk. Also, there are the expanded
features to the media player as well, such as the voice memos and the FM
radio. Oh, and for a high school student, the statistics and fractions
advancements to the calculator could be important as well, as well as
could
be the database
functions.
As for the cost of the transplant, I'm thinking it was $1,995 originally;
however, I'm betting that, seeing as they transplant into the currently
shipping model, that you will have to pay close to four hundred dollars
more
to upgrade to KeySoft 7.2. However, seeing as I myself didn't do a
transplant, someone can sure feel free to correct me if I'm incorrect.

Subject: [Braillenote] mpower info
Ok. here's the thing. I need some good advice here.
I'm in the ninth grade, and I have a braille note classic running ks 6.11
using an 18 cell braille display with the rubber buttons. I also have a
dell
laptop running jfw 7 on it. So what i want to know, what would be the
benefits of upgrading to the mpower? By the way, I turn my work in to my
teacher using compact flash cards and when the school gets wireless in
more
places, I will be using email. Oh, and How much is the transplant for an
18
cell braille display?
