Antonio, Make sure you have the following: 1. An AC adapter and power source. 2. Your BrailleNote. 3. An SD or a CF card that is no more than 512 MB.
Here is the instructions for reinstalling KeySoft: 1. Make sure that you don't have anything on other slots and ports (if using an mPower). 2. Make sure that you return to Main Menu, and make sure that you have connected your Braillenote to AC power. 3. here is where it gets tricky: If using a Classic or PK, please ignore this section. If using an mPower, follow these instructions: 4. Insert the SD card with the nk.bin file. 5. Press Reset with dots 4-5 (JK). The Braillenote should make a rising sound, and the word, starting keysoft will appear, in addition to loading. 6. After 10 minutes, the BrailleNote will reset itself, and the software installation will complete. If using an mPower or PK, please ignore this section. If using a Classic, follow these instructions: 4. Insert the CompactFlash card containing nk.bin file. 5. Press Reset with dots 4-5 (JK). The display will show the word preparing. 6. After 20 to 30 minutes, the BrailleNote will reset itself and the software installation will complete. If using an mPower or a Classic, please ignore this section. If using a PK, follow these instructions: 4. Insert the CompactFlash card with the nk.nb0 and BrailleNote PK upgrade.exe files. 5. Go to Utilities/application program. Select CompactFlash/none folder. At the program name prompt, select BrailleNote pk upgrade. At the command line, press enter. 6. KeySoft will announce that it is ready to start the upgrade. Press y for yes. After about 15 minutes, the BrailleNote will announce that it is complete. 7. Press C1+C4 (the outer power keys) until the PK chimes. Press these two keys again and KeySoft will start. The software installation is complete.
