You betcha! We always itemize just so that we can deduct my computer and BrailleNote expenses! Otherwise, I'm quite sure I wouldn't have been able to handle the expense of this at all!

Think I'll drop a note to someone at Humanware as to what they
plan to do when the ambicom card is discontinued.

Hopefully the whole BrailleNote won't need to be replaced in the
near future.

It may be a tax deduction for you as a Medical expense on your
form IRS 1040 but you will have to itemize.  Keep the receipt and
also your receipts for all other medical expenses and refer to
the Guide to form 1040 or ask your friendly local tax preparer.
