Hi,
First, I changed the subject to reflect the topic.
Second, depending on your e-mail software, you can have it create
a filter that looks at the header of the message. If the header
contains that person's name, or e-mail address (which ever you
choose to use) then it can be set to delete that message.
I use Eudora on my computer and it works well.
I hope that is helpful to you and anyone else who isn't sure
about this. But, if you have other questions about setting
filters in a particular e-mail program, please take it off list.
Again, just to cut down on non-braillenote related messages.
My direct e-mail is:

How do you block email from a specific member if it is sent to a
listserv?

KC and list,
Brandon may be an infrequent contributor, but it seems to me
that
it is far more important that his messages, no matter how few or
how many be either helpful or inquiring. Passing along
misinformation is not helpful, and is counterproductive. This
is
a very high traffic list, and I, for one, am really tired of
reading messages that are either inaccurate or someone's guess
as
to what they think it might be, or even someone announcing to
all
of us that they don't know! If you have questions, by all means,
ask! There are some very knowledgeable and helpful individuals
who have demonstrated a seemingly inexhaustible willingness to
help people through whatever problems they may have encountered.
Please, if you don't know, don't guess. It doesn't make you
look
cool, or smart. It gets in the way of people's attempts to work
through whatever issues they may be having with their equipment.
There are many warm and friendly lists out there. This is a
nice
list, but warm and friendly is a side benefit, which,
unfortunately, all too often gets in the way of the sharing of
real, hard information. Please, people, look at your messages
before they go out. If the mesage is not going to be of some
benefit to the list as a whole, please consider sending it to
the
individual you wish to address. If you don't know the answer to
a
question, hang around and read the messages, and you will almost
certainly learn. All of this would help to make this a much,
much
better list than it currently is. And, in anticipation of one
comment sure to crop up, nope, I'm not the moderator of this
list, nor do I want to be. I am only a list member who wishes
to
remain on this list to learn what she can, but who is near to
drowning in messages that for one reason or another, do not
benefit anyone on this list.
Off my soap box now, back under the rock I go. If you have any
quarrel with anything I've said, please, please do not inflict
it
on the whole list! My address is
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Feel free to write, and I will answer if I have something to
say.
My best to all of you,
Rachael

Hello Listers,
Actually, what Brandon said is exactly what I was told by
Humanware Tech Support.
(Brandon is an infrequent contributor to this List so I think it
rather unkind to come down on him.
Equally important, it seem reasonable to suggest that some of
us are more familiar with the Manual than others, especially if
long-time BN users. I'd hazard a guess that, for the most part,
BN Users refer to the Manual for speciric information.)
Shalom
