KC,

I was speaking from the perspective of the PK which has only one slot at the back and not a side slot and there are no pockets in the case, hence my decision to leave the card in place most of the time; though I do carry cards in a separate bag on occasions.

Hello Carol,

It is my practice to release a storage cad, when not in use. However, it remains in the slot. Primarily, I use the right-hand slot, with an adapter for the card. However, on the occasions when I use the back slot, I can release the card and still keep in in the slot. Of course, in each case, the cards are slightly exposed. (Right now, I have a CF card in the right-hand slot, but not all the way in.)
