You would only need a code if the specific airport requires one.
Most of the time, I have found that airport hot spots require you to pay
for service these days.

I think humanware should provide with every perchased unit a certificate
to 
show when your flying abroad and so your unit doesn't get scanned. And
when 
your accessing the wireless connection at the airport do you not need
some 
kind of code?
