I'll totally agree with that. Sever dots on cell three and four are gone entirely, or only partially come up. Furthermore, some of them jam part way up and require intense pressure to correct them. I hope Humanware gets around to fixing this problem soon, I heard there was a change in manufacturing so maybe they did. You're right, the mPowers all have KG displays unless you had a transplant in wich it is possible to still be using a Temen, still, I think it's design rather than the displays themselves.

Gee! I guess I'm lucky. I've had my classic for 6 years, and the
Braille display is like new. Last year, my employer got me an FS Focus
44 display, and I lost a cell in less than a year.

Subject: [Braillenote] Braille cells on the M-Power QT Display

Hello everyone, this is KC Spear.

As some of you know, when using my BN M-Power, I rely entirely on
braille. I know some of you use both braille and speech.
Logically, you don't use your braille display for reading and editing as
much as I do.
My point is that, with the BN Classic, I only had to ask for 1-cell
replacemnt. That was done in 2005, when I sent the BN in
for a "Transplant." I'm going to need to send the M-Power
back, because several cells are missing dots. Has anyone else
experienced a problem with the M-Power cells? (I admit to being
surprised, because I understood these cells are supposedly better than
the ones in the Classic.) KC
