Hello:

I own a BrailleNote Mpower BT running Keysoft Version 7.0. I had my
Braille Display transplanted from my old BN Classic into this unit last
February.

For the past two to three months, I've noticed an intermittent problem
with my Braille Display. My display will go through periods where it is
slow to respond to what I am doing. For example, when I'm at Main Menu,
press "W" to go into the word processor, press "C" to create a document,
choose the document folder and give the document a name, it is not
uncommon for my Braille Display to continue showing "main menu." Also,
what will sometimes happen is that my display acts as though it's trying
to respond to what I'm doing, but all the dots don't come up or others
that were up fail to go down, causing there to be 32 cells of jiberish
that I cannot make sense of. What typically happens is that I'll
experience this behavior for a while, and then it just goes away and the
display works fine.

I've got the Braille Display intensity at 9, the highest it will go.
I've exercised the Braille Display several times, but only for a couple
of minutes at a time to try and fix this problem. Does anyone have any
ideas of what might be going on and if there is anything else I can do
to fix this problem so it doesn't come back again without sending the
unit into HW? I've tried a reset with no keys held down to try and fix
this and that hasn't helped. I've tried turning Braille off and then
back on to fix this. When I turn braille back on, the display always
says "Braille on," but won't then continue responding to what I am
doing.

Thanks in advance for any help.
