I have sent a question via email to them asking how much it would cost if I had my own receiver. I have asked this question twice without a reply. I do not have time to call and be put on hold during their business hours this month so I will have to wait unti lthe first of the year to physically call them by telephone and see if anyone can give mea n answer.

If you have your own receiver, you will have a hard time getting
anyone
to tell what the price will be. I queried this question and
have yet to
receive an answer. If you are able to get this information,
please let
me know.

Cindy

Rusty,

Yes, it is possible to enter things such as longitude and
latitude
information into the Sendero GPS. As to your query on using
the GPS in a
location as a park. There are multiple ways of navigating a
location like
this, which some of them include creating a manual route,
this will allow
for the user to make their own waypoints and give it whatever
description
they desire and any directionality. A manual route is similar
to dropping
electronic bread crums that the user will be able to follow
after they are
done creating the route. the user is also able to create
points of interest
throughout the park, this will allow for the user to name
anything
throughout the park that will trigger within a certain
proximitey every so
often.

Now, if a user is wanting to go the route of the Sendero GPS,
there are a
few things required, which they are a BrailleNote of any type,
a GPS
receiver, and licensed maps. If you are looking for pricing
information or
wish to read further into the Sendero GPS, you are welcome to
visit one of
the following websites.
This is the main Sendero website

This is the website containning information related to maps,
receiver and
newest GPS software.

Hi folks,
I'm revisiting the possibility of gps again.

Does any one know if you can enter coordinates in to either
BN GPS or
Trekker?

If you have used both GPS on your BrailleNote and Trekker,
please email me
off list.

Thanks!
Rusty
