now I really do hope that rfbd lets humanware support their books on the MPower. The way I see this, is if people can read their books on their MPowers, the more Rfbd gets noticed.

Hi Wendy,

The current daisy reader in the MPower does not support the reading of rfb books as they use a proprietary format for copyright protection.

The last word from Humanware was that they are in negotiations with rfb to be able to provide reading capability on the braillenote family of notetakers.

Apparently rfb can sometimes be a bit difficult to deal with on these sorts of issues, so it may take some time before an agreement is reached.

So, for the moment anyway, you need to use one of the players approved by rfb.

Now that the mpower is a daisy reader, can it play the bboks recorded by
Recordings for the Blind. Has anyone used it for this or do you need one of the
machines that they sell to listen to those recordings.
Thanks
