Joseph:
Since you have a real hate for Rhonda being back on the list,
suppose you explain your message below.
Are you now an authority on the PacMate?
Tiffany,
If you do either power-based Warm Resetgghold down power switch
for 10
seconds) or keyboard-based Warm Reset (Ctrl plus Alt plus Del),
after few seconds,
JAWS should announce: "Welcome to PAC Mate with JAWS for Pocket
PC Version
4.1, Build: 061." One more thing that she can try: try unmuting
the speech
(I forgot the command). Or, if either of these steps does not
solve her
problem, try Hard Reset.

she has no display, and since the speech is locked up she can't
see if
control alt M does anything. is the control alt delete or power
on for ten
seconds supposed to work in this case? It's not doing anything.
is she
going to be forced to do a cold reset with the pin?

Tiffany,
This is Joseph. Did the PM said something about low memory or
something like that? Sometimes, when a devices does not have
enough
memory to process certain things, it tends to lock up. Or
perhaps
Sprite uses (eats) more memory (you can check by going to the
Memory
Dialog with Dot 8-Chord, M (Ctrl plus Alt plus M on QX) and see
the memory value
and stop any program that you wish to terminate).

Subject: [PM] locked up
Hi,
a friend just called me with a totally locked PM. As of yet
there
isn't a whole lot on her PM, but as that it was a big project
for her
husband to get her running through her protected network she is
trying
to avoid doing a cold reset.
He has installed PM Viewer so that he can see the PM on the
desktop,
then installed the wireless card drivers and configured it so
it
finally got connected through her home network, and now has
installed
sprite. They went to run sprite and didn't know about the
checkbox to
stop all running processes or what ever, and they cannot get it
to do
anything any more.
There is no sound at all, and they have tried both types of
warm resets.
Is
Cold reset the only option?
Thanks.
Tiff
