Hi, Alex,

I'm glad you understand what I am saying. To the rest of you: the cursor would change for overwrite and insertion on those old units becase append was default. I have no trouble with insert being the3 default to match word processors, but I really need to be able to lock my unit into append when I am taking notes almost as fast as someone is speaking because I simply do not have time to edit or correct anything at that time.

I would also like to see this; my old Braille 'n Speak had it and I used it a lot.

Have a great day,

Hi, Rhonda,

Well, the old Braille Lites, etc. had a continuous overwrite
command.
Sometimes that is handy just as I still want an append mode.

Hello Flor:

I am not sure why an overwrite command would be used. You can
use
Ctrl comma to delete a character, and then put the right letter
back
in. That's about the best way I know to do it.

Best Regards,
Rhonda Clark
