Tara,
If your document is saved on the Flash Disk, you won't lose it. Sometimes
KeyWord uses so much memory that it causes the ram to be full. My best
practice is to return to MainMenu about every 10 minutes or so. This will
ensure that the data is saved. It is quite a bad idea to turn off your BN
in the Wordprocessor (even experienced users like me had similar
problems). I would highly recommend that you return to Main Menu before
you switch off. This will ensure that the current data is saved. I hope
this information may help you.

Subject: [Braillenote] ReI can't trust it too
much
I typed for about 2 hours a document on my
BN. I stopped for about 10
minutes. It hanged. No matter what I did
braille display kept showing one
line, the last one I typed. the line was
still there when I switched off. I
had to reset. Alas I had lost the entire
data.
Is there something else I should have done?
Regards

Subject: [Braillenote] A thanks and other
things:
First Let me thank publicly the shipping
department of the Concord,
California office of Humanware for letting
me know that my Braille Note is
on its way back. Secondly, I sure thought
this voice note was going to
have another coronary and crash on me again
this afternoon. I was writing
when the thing just quit. I did a reset and
I heard the unbelievable
message "Your Braille Display is not
operational!" Well I pushed the reset
button with no keys held down and bingo
everything got put right.
Oh before I forget, The reason why I did the
first reset was before
everything quit I got some sort of an
exception command.
I mean everything but the ScanAr has been at
Humanware this fall at one
time or another and I was not looking
foreword to sending another Braille
Note in. Interestingly, the people at the
UPS store know me so well that
they asked me if I were Beta testing these
machines because every time I
go in there I have to tell them what it is I
am sending.
I've even gotten to know the prices of
shipping. Grin!
Anyway hopefully the Bn will be here like it
is supposed to and the vn can
go back to being my good little kitchen
helper.
