It really sucks. I will have to send it back very reluctantly as probably they have forgotten to put a bluetooth chip in my unit.

hi list, I just wanted to say the same thing, I'd hate to see a good machine sent back when it was just purchased.

Gideon, I hate to see you sending your machine in. Generally, when you get a wireless card, when you put it in, you can reset, and get it to recognize. I would even try the Service Reset. It could have been your wireless card. By chance, did you try a Compact Flash card in that slot to see if it was recognized? I know it's too late for these questions; I just hate to see a machine go back.

FC slot

I just purchased a Braillenote M-Power. I have found the
dedicated FC slot
to have some problem. When I insert the AMBICOM wireless card in
this slot,
I often get a message saying "card not recognised". Sometimes
the message
is: "your network card has not been correctly detected; please
insert again
and press enter". When I do as directed, the same message
keeps coming.
It is only after many attempts that card gets recognised
correctly. I
have now sent the unit to Humanware. I wonder if anyone has
experienced the
same issue. It is really annoying when you have to send your
unit back only
days after you purchased it.

Subject: [Braillenote] Don's Posts

I would have to agree about Don's ActiveSync post. I would also
have to say that when Don posts, they are probably the most
accurate posts I've ever seen, and they are always done in such a
courteous manner. He is one reason this list is so great.
Thanks for all of the helpful tips, Don, and the way you put them
out.

Kind Regards and have a great evening, everyone.
