I personally recommend that you do not use
4.2 due to the many reasons mentioned here
(there are numerous reasons that are posted
to the list).

You need 3.8 for the BN as this works with
Windows CE 4.2. The higher
versions of active sync work with Windows CE
5 which the BN family of
products do not run on.
