Hey Mary Ellen:

I completely agree with you that we don't want the other guys to win, and I also agree that bug fixing is more importnat then flashy new features. The real reason I'm responding to you though is your comment about cursor tracking.

When I first started using the BrailleNote I had the same feeling, but actually it's just a matter of thinking differently. I suspect that you are pressing a cursor movement key on the Braille key board out of habit rather then pressing the rooter button. When you do that in the automatic mode (which is the default) you go back to the position of the cursor and move from that position, so you have lost your place. There are 2 good solutions to this problem.

1. Just press the bottom Braille navigation keys until your BrailleNote says reading mode. That will actually cause the BrailleNote to act like a Braille Lite. The only problem is you won't see the cursor in Braille. You will hear the movement and you can know where you are from that feed back, but you won't see it on the display.

2. You can just change your habit to always press the cursor rooting button when you want to edit from the position you are reading from on the Braille display. Actually, this is better then the way the Braille Lite worked once you get use to it because you can either move to the place where you were editing by pressing a cursor movement key or you can move to the cursor by pressing a rooter key. It does take some getting use to though, particularly when you have such a well established habit.

Hope that helps!

Why can't humanware put a cursor tracking feature in the way Blaze Engineering did with the old Braille Lutes. I'd much rather have something like this which can be turned on and off from the options menu than any gimmicky stuff and I'd also rather have aversion with these bug fixes everyone seems to have uncovered with this upgrade. I think you would make your customers a lot happier and believe me, folks we are the ones who have put you where you are and we want you to be #1 we don't want those other guys to get ahead of us isn't that right gang?
Good I thought you'd agree!

I'm afraid you are trying to do something that can't be done.
