Hi Andy, I went into File Manager and viewed all file types. I unprotected the .cdb document. Next I went in to the keylist program and chose the file again. This time it let me in but said there was no database asociated with the file. I said to create one. Then it created an empty file with no data in it. However, I didn't find a third file in the keylist folder. I then had to reset my BN because it would not let me erase the .cdb file because "it was being used by another process" After the reset, I was able to delete it. I started the process over. I copied the file from the other directory where I had stored it first. Then I unprotected it again. Then I tried accessing it through the address list again. Still no luck.

I have checked again and again and the two related files have the same name except for their extensions.

I then tried to rename both files to a shorter name. The first went well. The second said that there was already a file by that name even though the extension was diferent.

I am going again to the web site to try to download the patch. I hope I am successful and this will help to fix my problem. I accidently deleted the file that was sent telling about the fixes.

Thanks for any further help.

Joleen

Subject: [Braillenote] Sharing KeyList Files

Hi Joleen,

I think there was a bug that's fixed in the maintenance
release.
There's two files : a .klt file which defines all the field names
and
types, and a .cdb file which contains all the actual data. The
.cdb
file needs to be unprotected, then it should work. Email me if
it
doesn't work after you unprotect the .cdb file (you'll need to
look at
the list of all files to see that, I think).

regards,

Andy.
