hi their, a thumb drive is a little device that is about the size of a postage stamp and it acts as a hard drive on your braille note MPower.
This helps with things such as conserving space on your flash disc.

Hi all,
Joseph, My mpower recognizes my sandisk immediately when I plug it in.
It says "Please wait." when I take it out and a few seconds later, it says that the hard disk is removed. By the way, what goes faster on the bn, a larg thumb drive or a hard drive?
I wonder how fast a 60 gig hard drive would go.
Would it be faster than the cards sd cf or pcmcia?
Thanks for the help

Richard

Drewh,
It takes a while to recognize USB thumb drives. Wait about a
minute, and it
will say "hard disk ready."

Dear list,
I put some MP3 tracks on a thumb drive to listen to on my BN, but
when I
inserted the thumb drive the Bn didn't do anything to let me know
it
recognized the drive. I when into the drive list, and the thumb
drive was
not listed. However, when I took it out a message came on the
Braille
display to please wait as it was processing me taking out the
drive. I don't
know if there is something I need to do so that the drive is
recognized, but
any help would be greatly appreciated.
