Ottawa Canada When you are asked for a user name and password on an ftp site, try entering:
For user id use anonymous or ftp If the site permits anonymous logins, it will usually say user name ok, enter your full e-mail address as password. While the site will say to enter your full e-mail address, generally you can just enter your e-mail address up to and including the at-sign and press enter and the site will fill in everything after the at-sign. I learned this trick years ago. If the site doesn't permit anonymous users, then you have to write to the postmaster at the ftp site to be given a user-id and password. N.B.
