Dear list, I have experienced this phenomenon just now: my braile display started acting funny. Some people that I know (off list, of course) told me that one or more dots on their braille displays are failing e.g. the dots does not come up as expected. This phenomenon occurs with BrailleNote mPower/Classic that is fitted with the newer KGS cells. This issue bothers me when I'm reading academic materials (for example, when the display comes up with the letter G on the cell in question, it may look like J in the first glance, but it is actually G if you take a close look at it). Usually it happens towards the middle of the display (mine is dot 1 on the 12th cell on my 18 cell display). I'm getting this feeling that some of you did experienced this issue. Solution: if the display intensity is set to 1, change to 9 (this partially solves the problem, but not entirely). I've also noticed that the top part of the crystal that makes up a dot is misplaced somehow. Thanks for your consideration. P.S. if you deem it necessary, write to me off list.
