Hello,
You cannot install third party software on the Braillenote.
This means that you cannot purchase software from a computer store for wireless cards or other products and install it on the braillenote.

Lois, Hope, and list,
Yesterday, Richard Ring wrote that there are
few WiFi cards that are supported. Someone
from HumanWare told me you can in fact
install drivers on your BN via ActiveSync.
Windows CE 4.2 corresponds to Windows
Mobile/Pocket PC 2003, so any drivers that
are compatible with Windows Mobile or ARM
CPU/X-Scale CPU can be installed on your BN
(could someone clarify this, please?).

Hi there,

I understood that there were only three
wireless cards that would work with
the Braille Note. It sounds like you are
saying there are many
possibilities. I wonder if a store would let
me try one out before buying
to make sure it's compatible.

Take care,
Lois

Okay, I can help you there. You need a
wireless ethernet
card and it should come with a adapter thing
that will make
it so you can go wireless. I use wireless
all of the time.
You plug the ethernet card into the back of
the braillenote.
you can purchase the wireless ethernet card
at radio shack
or something like that. I would guess that
the modem would
cost about 50 or 40 dollars. Not sure
exactly. hope this
helps. What version of keysoft do you have.
wireless will
only work from 6.11 and higher. Well see
you later. Hope
to talk to you soon.

Shaun.

I'm curious about what I'm going to need to
purchase to
connect
wirelessly with my bn. Also, how much will
the modem card
cost?

Thanks.

Hope.
