Hi Hope:
In my view, there is only one good reason to choose the PK over the MPower;
Human factors. By that I mean that the MPower is a better choice in terms
of what it can do and in terms of it's computing power, but I feel that the
PK has a much better feel. I like the placement of the advance keys, the
foot print, and the joy stick. That makes the PK worth the extra cost and
the slightly lower functionality. If you don't have a great deal of prior
experience with Braille devices the them keys might not be as off putting to
you.
Hope that helps.

Hi Hope,
Welcome to the list!
Are there any specific questions you would like us to try and answer to
help
you in making your decision? I'm sure there will be lots of folks on
the
list, including myself, who will be happy to try and help.
I'm fortunate enough to be working, and thus have both a PK and an
mPower.
And, while I do use both, when I'm out and about, I primarily use the PK
due
to its smaller size and weight, thus making it a much more portable
device.

Hi. My name is Hope, and I joined this list to find out more about the
bn (either the pk or m-power). I'm in the process of getting one and I
need to figure out which one I'd like. Alex parks spoke about this
list, so I decided to join. I'm sure I'll find this list helpful, and I
look forward to gaining more knowledge about the BN.
Sincerely,
Hope and Fidelco's Beignet
