Ottawa Canada Dear Hope:
Welcome to the list. We tend to be a friendly bunch but now and then have heated debate over one topic or another. I have an Mpower and love it. Things to consider between the PK and Mpower are: The PK only has a Braille keyboard and an 18 cell display. The Mpower can have a Braille or typewriter-style keyboard and you can get either with an 18 or 32 cell display. If you are a serious Braille user you will benefit from the 32 cell display as you can read faster and more stuff than with an 18 cell display. But the 18 cell display model is cheaper than the 32. The PK model will fit in a coat pocket or purse, while the Mpower has a shoulder strap and will fit in a larger purse or an attaché case. Ideally you should see if you can get a hands-on demonstration of both a PK and Mpower and see which seems to better meet your needs. You are looking at a sizable purchase in a BrailleNote PK or Mpower and it is best to make your decision based upon the best available information. Again welcome to the list and good luck in your studies. Brian -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
