Well, I suppose you could put it that way. It's just a way of
cutting the story short.

Hi Ali;
Would it be a fair compairison to say the none folder is like the
C
drive on a computer. It is the base for storing files and
dividing them
into groups which we call folders. If this none folder was
demolished,
we would have nothing to support and store all our files and
sourt them
into folders.

It was asking you if you want to erase the "NONE" folder. I
advise you and I am 101 % sure about this, "NEVER" delete the
none folder, because if you do, anything on the drive will be
erased. It will be completely empty, and I'm sure if you have
files on it, you don't want that!

Hi Kandi,
I think you've helped me considerably but I have one more
question. I found the "views and opinions" folder in the
subdirectory on my storage fc as you instructed by pressing space
t and space until I got to "views and opinions" folder in the
subdirectory. There are no files in it and I'll never know how
it got there. I'd like to erase it so that I can install a
similar folder on the upper level so I don't have to dig for it.
However, I'm afraid to erase it so I'm going to read the prompts
that I encounter to the last step before answering "sure"?
I went to the folder manager, to my compact flash card and to
the prompt "folder to erase"? Then, space t to the prompt
"directory to erase"? where I spaced to "directories of compact
flash", spaced again to "views and opinions". I then backed up 2
spaces to "directory to erase"? I pressed "enter" and here's what
I got, "erase backslash compact flash directory, and all
contained files and folders", "sure"? Of course, I said "no" and
backed out because I wasn't "sure".
Get back to me when you can. I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
Eugenio

I've got one more thought. I don't know if it'll help, but when
you're in the folder manager, after you hit rename folder and
select compactflash, when it says "folder name?" press space with
t. IT'LL say directory name, and press space. It might be there
but I'm not sure. Just a thought. Hth.

Hi Karyn,
I tried your suggestions sometime ago and just now but no go.
Listen to this! From the Folder Manager I get to the folder to
be rnamed and the prompt is "folder to be renamed"? Then I space
to find the folder, views and opinions, and there are no folders.
When I write, views and opinions, to be renamed just to see what
happens I get "folder does not exist). THEN I write, none,
instead of, views and opinions, and I get "file cannot be moved
to a different drive" which means nothing to me. I do have a
"none" folder on the fc with 2 or 3 files in it depending on how
you access the folder which is something else I don't understand.
If you have any other suggestions I'm wide open for them. It's
driveing me nuts. Thank you.

Hello Eugene,
You wrote: However, I did see something that I overlooked. When
I go to my
fc through my "book reader" I somehow wrote "views and views and
opinions".
I doubt that would make a difference but who knows maybe it
would.
Eugene, yes it would as that is likely what the folder name is .
Try typing
Views and views and opinions and see what happpens. You can also
hit the
first letter, in this case v, and it should take you right to it.
I am
afraid you are looking for a name which is not there. One typo
can mess up
a folder or file name.
Take care and I hope this helps.
