When I flew to Leader Dogs on July 30 this year, and then flew
home on August 18, I took my BrailleNote with me on the plane
with CF cards and had no trouble. They left the unit in my
backpack and scanned the whole thing without any trouble at all.
I figured they would take it out and examine it, but they didn't.
I guess it depends who is working at the Security station at that
time.

Mike,
Being blind has nothing to do with it. We should be scanned like
anyone
else.

I've flown with mine and have never had a problem.
I wish they'd just let us take it with us. I mean, ca't they see
that we are blind?

i've never traveled by plane with my brailleNote, but I was
always told that
it needed to be manually scanned and treated like a laptop.

Last week I flew to Kansas City for my son's wedding, and when I
sent
myMPower through the scanner it even raced all of my audio files
on my
compact flash card.
I can't be sure that it wasB W I scanner that cauls the problem
but my
nokia 6682 phone 2 gig card does not work any longer.
The strangest thing about the whole thing was, on my compact
flash card, my
Tex files were okay.
