Hi Hope, If memory serves, you're talking about the Sendero Group price list I sent the link for last week.
Anyway, when you purchase the GPS from them, and I'm guessing the same thing would be true if from HumanWare, you do get all the maps for your country on CD-ROM--well, at least that is how I got mine when I purchased my package a little over a year ago now. And, still further if memory serves, the maps came on several CD's, eight CD's I believe. In addition to the CD's, you may either get a one gig CF card--just enough for your state and a few surrounding states, or whatever maps you would choose to put on the card. Or, you may purchase the eight gig CF card containing all the maps. That way, all the maps are with you on one small card, no transferring from CD to the card and all. Although, when I purchased the GPS package, the maps came on a two gig and a four gig card, but those aren't large enough to hold the entire US, thus the eight gig card now. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hope Paulos" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'Braillenote List'" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 27, 2006 4:24 PM Subject: [Braillenote] difference between the 2 gps packages sold for thebraille note Hi all. I'm looking at the pricelist that someone gave me containing all the products I need to have my counselor purchase. There are 2 gps packages listed: one with a 1 gb cf card and the information says: one country map and one upgrade. Then there's another package that says 8 gb cf all us maps. I'm confused: if I get the 1 gb card and the 1 country map, wouldn't aht include all U.S. maps if I chose the maps for the US? I'm sorry for my ignorance, but I'm confused. Thanks for your help.
