Yes, this would work, but it wouldn't get you the best sound.  Electrical 
interference is a high risk factor, along with distortion. 
Also, your BN may make noises - these will be picked up in the recording.  
Brake-up is another factor.  Where possible, then, I'd 
use a PC with capturing software.

I won't say any more on here because this is straying dangerously close to
