Hello, Eugene:
I'm going to try to take a stab at your question. It gets a
little complicated, but here goes, (grin)!
First of all, I know you don't want to do this, but you can block
off your message in an attachment. If there is text between the
"less-than argreater-than" messages, this will work. Now
remember, I didn't say it wouldn't be tedious. After you have
blocked off your document, you can create a file. Let's assume
you are created a document in a "Braille document, Keyword type."
After you have created your file, and have pressed Enter, press B
chord P to paste it in. Then, you can press Backspace with F for
the "find and replace" command. You'll be asked to search
"forward or back." Since you are writing in grade two, write in
the word less-than. Press Enter. You will see, "replace with?"
I would just press Enter. You will see "replace all or first?" I
would press A for all. Then, you will do the same thing again,
but write in the word greater-than. There may be other
characters, since part of this document will be HTML.
Your other option would be: when you get to the attachment and
press Enter, you will see; "detach or read?" You can choose to
detach. You'll be asked to select a drive, folder and file.
More than likely, these will be text documents, so remember that
the less-than sign would be a < and your greater-than will be >.
Sorry this is such a long post. Good luck.----- Original Message

Hi Joe,
The file type is "attachment type". I didn't know that there
was such a file type but what do I know. That's what it said
when I press space-i.

Subject: [Braillenote] removing junk from "attachments"
Hi all,
I can't seem to remove junk from my email attachment, such as,
lass-than,
greater-than, equals, etc. I've moved the email attachment from
the inbox
to my general folder on the FlashDisk and when using the "find
and replace"
to get rid of the junk it says it can't find whatever I happen to
be looking
for. Of course the file is protected so I've used the space-x to
"review
off". I can't seem to block and delete because the cursor will
not go where
I want it to. I'm getting really discusted with this "protect"
problem, at
least to me it is. Also, why when I get out of a command, such
as, "block"
command or "find" command I'm put back on the drive and then I
have to get
back to my file in the general folder.
please come back to me.
Eugenio
