Hi Eugene:

Since most of what you receive is written in Computer Braille, the cursor is never exactly where you think it is. If it makes it easier, use dot 6 chord to move forward a letter at a time, or dot 3 chord to move back a letter at a time.

In answer to your dot 4 chord question, this reads a line at a time. It will quit reading at punctuation or a line break. You'd need to press it again, if you're reading lines. You can press M chord to see if you are at sentence and paragraph reading mode. That is generally where I keep it, unless I need to read columns or something.

Good luck with this, and keep asking questions.

By the way, remember to free your database space after sending a group of email to the trash. That may help you some.

Kindest Regards,

Subject: [Braillenote] BrailleNote is sleeping, and, touch cursors
don't respond as they should

hi ronda, Joe and all,
I have finally delved into the world of blocking. However, I'm
running into some trouble in the process although I've had this problem before I tried blocking. When i try to mark the beginning of the block or the end, the line in which the word that I'm marking with the touch cursor sometimes jumping down a line which means that I have to go back up a line to see if the correct word is marked. Sometimes I can't even mark the right letter, it's like fighting a force. You might be thinking that maybe I'm not pushing down the right touch cursor but I am very accurate with that process. I've tried the space-x to turn "view off" and that helps a little but it continues to mark a letter that I don't want.
Also, for the past 4 days while using the BrailleNote all of a
sudden it begins to take anywhere from 10 to 15 seconds to execute a command. When you have 50 to a hundred email to download, you can figure out how much time it takes. It normally takes a little over 1 second each. Fortunately, a regular reset without holding down any keys solves the problem but what do you think is going on with this and the touch cursors. I have the 6.11 update for a couple of weeks now from Classic 5.1, if that makes any difference.
I was just reminded of another question because it just
happened. Why, when I read with space-4 I cannot go to the end of the sentence. I have to use the thumb keys to do that. Is that normal?
 Eugenio
