Dave:
In order for JAWS to work properly, copy those files to the following
location:
C:\Program Files\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\8.0
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Freedom
Scientific\JAWS\8.0\Settings\Enu
C:\Documents and Settings\username\application Data\Freedom
Scientific\JAWS\8.0\Settings\Enu
Where username is the name of the user that you are logged on as e.g If your
User name is called "user," the path will look like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Freedom
Scientific\JAWS\8.0\Settings\Enu
Paste those files. Focus your cursor at the pdihooks.exe file. Quit JAWS
(JAWS Key+F4, Enter) then press Enter on pdihooks.exe. A ding should sound,
indicating that it is active. Then you can use your BrailleNote to emulate
JAWS PC keyboard.

Am trying to make this work with JAWS 8. The documentation says
to put it in the JAWS installation directory. I'm not sure
what's meant by this. I've tried theprogram Files\freedom
scientific\jaws\8 directory and theprogram files\Freedom
Scientific\jaws\8.0\drivers\Braille\Braille Note directories with
no luck. Any ideas? I had "no display" selected before any
changes were made and before I re-set the default braille display
to the BN.
