Sharon,
This means that the gauge is no longer accurate and needs to be recalibrated. First, fully charge the unit, and then invoke battery recalibration with the f swithitch (from support info mode). After about several hours (depends), it should say, "battery is critical." Leave your BN until it switches itself off; when this happens, recharge your BrailleNote and it will say, "battery test completed." The gauge will be accurate at this point.

Subject: [Braillenote] battery reconditioning

Hi, I picked up my Braille note classic
yesterday to do something on it and
it was completely dead. Once I plugged in
the charger and reset it, I
finally got it working again but now when I
check the battery level it say
that

battery reconditioning is recommended. What
does this mean? When I go into
support information mode and press I it gives
me a capacity inaccurate count
of 3 and when I press A it says battery
reconditioning recommended . Does
this just mean I have to recalibrate the
battery or does it need a new
battery? I hope it doesn't need a new battery
because at the moment I don't
have the money for that. However this is
only my backup machine I use my PK
for most things just occasionally I need to
use the Braille note.

Thanks for any help,

From Shaz.
