Hi,

Alex Parks wrote: "1. Is there any danger of corruption or other software
damage in this?"
Yes, but only if you're stupid... basically, if you decide to upgrade your unit
on 1% battery, you're going to currupt your machine.
Similarly, if you decide to be really clever and take the card out during the
upgrade, you're in the same position.

"2. What sort of display?"
Any visual display will work, from what I can tell. The best thing to do,
though, is use Hyper Terminal - this can work with screen
readers as it's running off a PC. There's a template available on the HW
website, somewhere in downloads - just run it and it'll set
up your system.
"That would be neat to watch..."
No, it wouldn't. I thought the same, but it's useless to most - it's just
binary data, and Hyper Terminal tries to interpret it -
great fun, but no use.

"3. How do you know all this?"
The trick is to want to explore absolutely everything that happens on your BN.
It's hard to describe it in any other way... when
you're next doing something that seems technical, like upgrading your machine,
analyse every step you take and see what questions
they pose. Then go and analyse the questions, try to answer them, bug HW
support...

HTH,
Matthew
