Try doing a read with F which will prompt you by saying search which string? Hit S for subject and it will bring up all of the messages which match that subject. Don't forget to hit enter after you have told it subject. You will have to mark each message in that string. When it gets to the end of that string, just hit control with enter and then M for move. It will prompt you by saying move marked messages to which folder? Hit your space bar and the trash folder will come up first. Just hit enter here and they are gone.
This is one way to deal with messages from a certain subject string. Note that all commands given in this message are QWERTY commands as that is the keyboard I use.
