I am curious about this issue of leaving one's SD card in the slot of the BrailleNote. Why should doing so have any effect on battery life in the BN, since the memory in the SD card is nonvolatile and will remain undamaged while the SD card is out of the BN. Unless you are using it, why should having it in the slot of the BN put more of a strain on its battery? Does anyone have the real answer to this oft-quoted injunction about battery life and the SD card?

Ottawa Canada Far as I know, you can leave your card in the slot forever and the spring will be ok. However you should not leave your card in the slot when not in use and running on battery power as this will drain the battery quicker than without the card in place. They make much better springs these days than they do batteries! Brian -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
