First of all, you must charge your BN until
the c value reaches 1807 (100% charge). And
then use your BrailleNote like you normally
would. Unplug the ac adapter and use it
until you see battery critical message. This
should update the gauge properly. 100% error
value is not good (normally, it is between 2
to 5%(.

Thanks so much for your help.
First off, the A command says that the gauge
is not accurate and the
error is plus or minus 100%.
The C gives "Nominal available charge =557
D gives "last measured discharge 1807 and
capacity 1800.
It has been discharging for two or three
hours. The d value would
suggest that the gauge is really not wrong,
but I don't know.
Any thoughts?
Should I unplug and let it discharge to
critical?

This switch will save the recalibration log
onto the KeySoft System Disk, and this is
not
a wise option to use. The best command to
use is f or r switch (f swithitch will save
the log onto the Flash Disk, and r is the
normal recalibration). Xy Riden once wrote
that if the gauge thinks that it is
inaccurate, then it will attempt to
recalibrate many times to correct this
error.
Here are a number of things you should
check:
Stop the recalibration process, and do the
following:
1. At the Support Info Mode, press a. If
it
says that the error amount is greater than
2%, then something is wrong with the gauge.
2. Press c and d. The c value should be
synchronized with d value (bare in mind that
it might be lower, due to the fact that the
BN was discharging while performing the
battery test). If the d value is greater
than 2000 (on an 1800 battery) or 1750 (on
1650 battery), then the gauge is truly
inaccurate, and you should perform the
recalibration from scratch using either f or
r switch.
The best option would be running your
battery
all the way down until you see battery
critical message, which at that point, will
update the gauge properly.

My BN MPower has needed to be recalibrated
for several weeks. Finally, over
the weekend, while I didn't have to work, I
decided to let it recalibrate
the battery.
It's been at it for over 36 hours. It's on
the sixth cycle.
Will it stop on its own? At what point
should I say that's enough?
