Hello,
Yes, this is where I have all of my music.
I have over 60 artists with multiple albums and this has always worked for me.

Robert, does this method of finding subfolders work with the
Western Difital 80 gb hard drive for you? I can't make it work
for me. Wonder what I'm missing.
Thanks.
Kathy

Hello,
I have many different artists on a hard drive, which I can play
through the media player.
What I do is this,
1. From the main menu, I press m for the media player, and then
m again and it will ask which folder to play media file from.
2. I then backspace twice so that it tells me the drive.
3. I then select the folder name.
4. When I find the folder, instead of pressing enter on the
folder, I press space with dots 56 using a braille keyboard.
5. I then space down until I see the artist, and press space
with dots 56 again.
6. When I see the album I want, I press enter, it will then show
me the list of tracks, and if you space down until you see the
one you want you can then press enter and it will start playing.
Good luck,
Robert Stigile

Subject: [Braillenote] question about folders and subfolders

Hi List:

Does the BN recognize multiple levels of folders?

The other day I created a folder called music on my SD card, then
I copied several folders with artists names on to the music
folder.

When I open the music folder with the BN I could not see any of
the subfolders with the artists names. This meant that I could
not play my files.
I had to use my pc to move the artist folders out of the music
folder in order to play the files.

Is this normal behavior? Or did I neglect to do something to see
the subfolders?

Thanks for any help.

Grace
