Alex and list,
If KNG is really a SAPI5 (Speech API 5) compatible, then it should be listed under this synth. Since it is displayed as a separate synth, that means it is not a SAPI5 synth, and cannot be used in Book Port.

I am not sure if, through some manipulation
of JAWS or something,
such a setting can be obtained. I am
probably misunderstanding
the definition of a SAPI 5 voice.

Have a great day,
Alex

Is there a sapi5 version of KNG?
There's your answer.

Subject: [Braillenote] Using KNG as voice for
BookPort?

Hi all:

American Printing House makes a product
called a BookPort. This
device can read .wav and .mp3 files, as well
as different types
of text-containing files when filtered
through special software.
This software also allows one to use
synthesized voices to "read"
a text file, save that reading as mp3, and
send it. Is there a
way to use KNG for this translation? I think
the "reading" uses
SAPI 5 voices, or something like that.

Have a great day,
Alex
