Well, those are not stupid questions, grin. As to your first question about the 7.2 being the correct upgrade, the answer is yes. There was a patch to the original upgrade; however, using either the upgrade link, or the patch link, will result in bringing you to the same upgrade download.
As to your second question about using the BN and CF card to download your 7.2 upgrade on a unit running 7.01, although I don't have a classic myself, it would appear from reading one of the list archive messages that this would now be correct in the classic instructions. For, apparently there was a problem with the download on a 6.11 unit going to 7.0, but the 7.0 was to make it possible to download using the BN only. You can't perform the upgrade on the BrailleNote Classic alone. this is because 6.11 still contains the old download manager, which stores data on the KeySoft System Disk when downloading. There isn't enough room on it for the upgrade. So you'll need the assistance of a PC to download the file, and a card reader to have it placed on the CF card. The good news is that KeySoft 7 contains our own special download manager that puts this problem to bed once and for all.
