no Steve, I bought the oxford dictionary & thesaurus direct from Humanware. I don't buy anything on the web.

It comes on a cf card and you install the the program etc, then every time you want to look up a word, just place the cf card into slot and press the options menu then letter l to look up and follow the prompt when asked if you want to look up dictionary or thesaurus and so forth. It is so easy and it is great looking up heaps of words.

Take care,
Sylv.

Sylvia, where did you buy the dictionary and thesaurus from? Was
it a
website such as Humanware?

Cheers, Steve

Dear Terry & list,

The installation of the Dictionary and Thesaurus comes with very
easy to
follow steps when installing. You must however be running
Keysoft 7.2 or
greater.

Terry, I noted you are on Ks 7.00.

You only need to do the installation once and after that it
truly is a
breeze to use, and well worth purchasing.

Write to me off list if you still want step by step guidance.

hth, Sylvia.

Hi Brian;
I have been skipping around, lately, and I noticed people had
problems
installing the dictionary. I want to get the US dictionary. I
need
someone who has successfully installed it to give everyone the
steps. I
am using an M-power BT 7.0.
I would have thought you would just put the card in when needed.
I do
not remember any mention of any talk of any installation when it
went on
the market.

Terry Powers

Ottawa Canada

Dear Scott:

Well I'm in Canada and my Mpower is set to use 24-hour time and
UK date format but I ordered the US edition of the Oxford Concise
Dictionary.

The US edition used the Mpower's synthesizer to provide
pronunciations of the words in the dictionary, while the UK
edition uses recordings of a human voice for the pronunciations
of dictionary words.

In general do you spell:

Cheque with a "q"
Colour with a "u"
Programme the British way
Etc.

Here in Canada, some people use US spellings while others swear
by British spellings!

Like the T. Eaton Company used to list draughting supplies in
their semi-annual catalogue instead of drafting supplies!

That is d-r-a-u-g-h-t-I-n-g VS d-r-a-f-t-I-n-g supplies!

But they sold cookies, not biscuits.

Its too bad the two editions of the dictionary are sold
separately, as I often tailor my spellings to my audience, e. g.
use US spellings in correspondence with Americans, and British
spellings in correspondence with countries where they prefer
British spellings.

Take care.

I love my spell checker in MS Outlook! It catches many spelling
and capitalization errors.

Brian
