Hi, I think if hw is going to do this, they need to come up with a way for keylist to support csv files.

Hey Joseph,

Tom,
KeyBase already supports copying (exporting) records to a csv (Comma Separated Values) file, which KeyList does not support it.

Yes, thanks for reminding me. The trouble is, I didn't get it to work for me. I tried to export one of my databases to my PC card and didn't find the expected .csv file. I checked the PC card at least twice after attempting the export, but it sure isn't there. If it was, I'd try this little experiment, which anyone can do if they're so inclined. Maybe somebody will have better luck than I did.

In order for the database manager to see your address book, you'd have to copy both the address list.cdb and the address list.klt files to the keybase folder, then rename the address list.klt to address list.kbs. Having done this, I could then see my address list in the database manager. The problem, as with my other database, was getting the export file to show up on my PC card.

Oh, one thing that I neglected to mention is that during both export attempts, I opted not to include field names. Does this make a difference? I'm really curious.

Tom
