Hi, thanks, done all these steps and no luck.

I am told that it is a hardware problem and that some soldering needs to be done on the motherboard.

Have many units been affected this way one wonders?

Greetings:

Have you tried resetting the unit? Sometimes I have found that a simple reset clears up some odd problems. When that fails I try a 4,5,6 reset followed by a simple reset. And, should that fail a 1,2,3 reset, followed by a simple reset.

Also in the keymail setccup menu there is a modem choice, you might check this out as well.

Subject: [Braillenote] Loosing dial-up connectivity

Hi all

A most basic problem to which the solution seems to elude me.

Using the internal modem to connect to the internet mPower dials,
connects and after about 30 seconds spontaneously disconnects.
No
web page is displayed and no progress tones are heard.

All parameters have been set correctly. When another mPower is
used
with exactly the same settings, the internet is accessed without
any problems.

In both instances the same service provider is used from the same
access point.

All settings/inputs have been double checked.

Any ideas please.

Highly appreciated.

Deon
