Hi, there are three options with speech. One speech on, two speech on request and three no speech. When you have it on the second option speech on request you still here the beep when backspacing. You need to go to speech off to stop it, with this you will only have Braille and no speech at all. to do this you need to press the left outer thumb key and space, you can cycle through the three options this way.
